Valentine’s Day makes for great opportunities to include different learning activities into your homeschooling: making Valentine’s Day bookmarks and writing cards, baking Valentine’s Day treats, and Valentine’s Day reading.
Throw in a candy hearts experiment to cover science. Learn about the history of the holiday.

Using worksheets like these with special holiday themes is a great way to engage your kids and reinforce essential concepts.
Valentine’s Day Math Worksheets
If your kids are working on plotting coordinate points, these Valentine math worksheets will be easy prep for you come February 14th, and a fun way for your kids to work on those essential math skills.
For my kids, remembering whether to plot on the x-axis or y-axis first was they trickiest part; repetition really helped them grasp the correct way to plot points. There will be many opportunities for your kids to practice plotting points as they create the Valentine’s Day items on these worksheets!
There are 8 different pages, each with a different “mystery picture” your kids will unveil as they plot points in the first quadrant (x- and y-axis both go from 0 to 20).
Answer keys are included, but it should be fairly obvious if they’ve gotten the correct answer!
Kids can color in their pictures once completed. This will not only enhance their understanding of graphing, but also add an artistic touch to these math problems!
How to Use in Your Homeschool
There are multiple ways you can incorporate festive resources like this in your homeschool, outside of your typical routine.
- Add these worksheets to your morning basket, and complete one each day leading up to Valentine’s Day
- Use these worksheets instead of your regular curriculum on Valentine’s Day
- If you have younger kids, allow your older students to graph the pictures, and then the little kids can color or paint them
- Even if it’s not Valentine’s Day, you can use these anytime as an informal way to see if your kids are grasping the concept of graphing ordered pairs
