We’re 30 weeks into our series of praying for our homeschools – I’m so thankful you are joining me! You can learn more about the series here. We’ll pray about a new area of our homeschool journey each week and dig into God’s Word with daily devotional reflections.
As we begin planning for a new homeschool year, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. There are decisions to make, schedules to prepare, curriculum to finalize…and it can all start to feel like too much.
But here’s the truth that anchors me during this season:
Nothing is too difficult for God!
Jeremiah 32:17 reminds us:
“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”
The same God who created the universe is the One who walks beside you as you prepare for this school year. That’s the kind of truth we need to hold onto as we move forward.

Three Encouragements as You Prepare
Here are three reminders I want to share with you as you step into this new homeschool year:
1. Trust God With Every Decision
As homeschool moms, we make a lot of decisions—and sometimes, we can feel paralyzed by the pressure to get it all right. But we’re not in this alone.
God is with you. He knows you and your kids intimately. He sees what’s ahead, even when you don’t. So bring your choices before Him—curriculum decisions, co-ops, extracurriculars—and ask for His wisdom and guidance.
Pray for discernment. Ask the Lord to help you choose what will best support your children’s unique learning styles. And trust that He is working all things together for your good and His glory.
2. Embrace the Journey With Faith
Homeschooling isn’t just about academics. It’s a journey of faith—for you and your children. Every day is an opportunity to grow closer to the Lord and to point your kids toward Him.
Make prayer a regular part of your homeschool routine—both in your personal time and with your kids. Let them see you rely on God. Use everyday moments—even the hard ones—as chances to talk about God’s faithfulness and provision.
3. Teach From a Biblical Worldview
One of the greatest blessings of homeschooling is the ability to weave God’s truth into every subject.
In science, we can marvel at God’s creation. In history, we can explore how His hand has moved through time. In literature, we can talk about faith and morality. And yes—even in math—we can reflect on the order and reliability of our Creator. Patterns, logic, and numbers reveal a God who is consistent and precise.
When we teach from a Biblical worldview, we help our kids understand that their faith isn’t just one subject among many—it’s the foundation of everything we learn and do.
This week, I encourage you to spend time with the Lord as you prepare for the year ahead. You’re not alone! God is with you, providing strength, wisdom, and guidance. Lean on Him with every decision, embrace each day with faith, and trust Him through the challenges that arise.
You are doing incredible work in your homeschool, and your faithfulness is making a lasting impact on your children’s lives.
A Prayer for This Week
Heavenly Father,
I praise you for being our Good Shepherd. In your omniscience you lead and guide us each day, not growing faint or weary as I so often do. As we head into this new school year, I am faced with so many choices from curriculum to co-ops and everything in between. Sometimes it feels like an uphill battle trying to weed through the options and find just the right tools to support my kids’ learning. I’m so thankful for the reminder that with you, though, nothing is too difficult, and you are by my side the entire time.
I pray this week that I delight in spending time in your presence, learning more and more each day to follow your leading in our homeschool. Guide me to the tools and materials I need to teach my children. Let me be open to each of my kids’ learning styles this year, and give me wisdom to make changes when necessary. I pray that I will be knowledgeable and confident in teaching them, and that they will be willing and eager to learn.
Let us use each opportunity for learning in our homeschool this year as a chance to see You in every subject and in the world around us. Thank you for revealing Yourself to us through Your creation that we enjoy so much. You alone are worthy of all praise, glory, and honor.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen
