18 Best Kindergarten Homeschool Books & Workbooks

Kindergarten is such a rich year of learning through play and spending precious moments with your eager, young learners. Often times children of kindergarten age learn best with hands-on activities and exploring tons of books with great characters. It is the best time during these sweet early years to foster a love of learning in your young kids.

I remember how much my children really wanted to “do school” with me. They would get out paper and crayons and draw letters and shapes. They would smile so big and show me everything they made.

When they learned to write their names, that was a very big deal. I knew I needed to add a little bit more to what we were already doing for kindergarten writing, so I began searching for some quick and easy books to help me move through the kindergarten year smoothly.

I wasn’t looking for a formal or even a complete curriculum, but rather some short and sweet workbooks that were engaging and fun. Whether you are looking for a fun nature study or a book with cool science experiments, your ultimate goal is to create an environment that promotes a LOVE of learning. There, I said it again!  

One way to help create a well-rounded learning environment is by using kindergarten homeschool books. These educational tools can be beneficial to add to your kindergarten homeschool curriculum and really help your young children learn essential skills in age appropriate increments.
