The story of Daniel in the Lions’ Den has been retold over the years.

Children learn how Daniel chose to obey God and not pray to the king.

They see how God protected Daniel when thrown in the den of lions, and how God shut the mouths of the lions to keep Daniel safe.

We know that the beauty of God’s Word lies in the small details entwined into each story. Your child is never too young to learn about those details.

Allow them to embrace this beautiful story in an easy-to-understand way with this interactive Daniel in the Lions’ Den Workbook.

Help your children learn the history of Daniel in the Lions Den with this free printable workbook.

Daniel in the Lions’ Den Color and Learn Workbook

Each page in this workbook is divided into two parts.

The page begins with a portion of the history and continues with an activity for your child to work on.

Activities include:

  • Coloring activities
  • A Memory Match Game
  • A Maze
  • Tracing activities
  • Counting activities and
  • A Scripture Memorization activity

Each activity can be independently completed by children and is simple enough for kindergarten-aged children to self-guide through the workbook.

The central focus of this workbook is to build the foundation and remind children that God watches out for them, and His protection follows them wherever they go.

How to use the Daniel Memory Match Game

The Memory Match Game may be played two ways.

One way would be to play the game following the instructions provided in this workbook.

A second way, to encourage discussion and see how much your child has understood the story, would be to have your child share what they learned about each card pair picked.

How to print the workbook

The pdf file for this workbook is sized 8.5″ x 11″ and may be printed on white multi-purpose paper.

I would recommend you print the Memory Match cards on white cardstock, for durability. You could also laminate the Memory Match Game sheets if you know your child will pull these cards out to play, more than just a few times in a week!

This unique interactive workbook is a great way to keep your child excited about God’s Word.
