We LOVED getting our first shipment of Annie’s Creative Girls Club last month. My girls have been waiting (impatiently for the next one to arrive).
I’m excited to share with you what was in our boxes this month so you can see if this kit would be a good resource for you!
My girls are 7 years old and love arts and crafts…but in our homeschool, sometimes it’s difficult for me to come up with creative projects to incorporate.
I love that Annie’s Creative Girls Club is an all-in-one way to bring crafts into our homeschool (make is sooo easy on this super-busy homeschool mama!).

Each monthly craft kit comes with two crafts – since I have twins, they each choose one to do. Their first impression was that these crafts were going to be easy…but they (and I!) were mistaken.
They were just the right amount of challenging, and we all learned a couple of new skills this month!
Take a peek at the fun projects my girls got to make this month, and learn how you can get a big discount off a kit for your own girls!

What Comes with Annie’s Creative Girls Club?
Like I mentioned earlier, if you struggle with finding time for crafts in your homeschool (either coming up with ideas, or having the supplies on hand), Annie’s Creative Girls Club is for you.
I love that we get TWO crafts to work on each month, each teaching different skills, and that pretty much all of the materials are included (except for some simple supplies, like glue for instance, that we typically DO have on hand).
This year has been so busy with a toddler, running a business at home, and homeschooling. I had been feeling frustrated with myself for not always being more “creative” and artsy with my girls. Annie’s Creative Girls Club helps remove many of the road-blocks that were standing in my way. I’m so thankful for that!

Don’t forget that while Annie’s Creative Girls Club is perfect for my 7-year olds, Annie’s has amazing kits for everyone in the family!
Here are a few other options for your family:
- Holiday Quilters Club
- Caring Crochet Kit Club
- CardMaker Kit of the Month Club

This Month’s Craft #1: Jewelry Organizer
Once again, I loved the step-by-step pictures that were included with each craft. With these particular crafts, the pictures definitely helped!
My girls are becoming stronger readers, so it’s been great to see them learn to follow instructions like these, and the pictures are wonderful for more visual learners.

This craft gave Emma experience with sanding wood, painting, measuring (we had to measure the paper to cut it to fit the frame), using glitter (not the biggest fan of glitter, but she loved it!), and twisting in screws.
I thought it was really cute how they used the cord on the back, which will hold all of her earrings.

She can’t wait to hang it up in her room and decorate it with jewelry!
This Month’s Craft #2: Cord Bracelets
I was in the business of making jewelry for about 5 years, and I have never worked with cord techniques before, so I was really excited to help my daughter with this one! We’ve tried making a few easy friendship bracelets before, and thought this would be a great next step.
What she thought was going to be the easier of the two crafts was actually quite challenging.

I loved this craft because she learned how to make 5 different types of bracelets, and how to do a slide knot to secure them. There were extra materials left over, so she will be able to practice this skill a bit more!
The holes on the beads were quite small, so it took some skill to get the cord through. We had to put tape on the ends of the cord to make it skinny enough to slide through some of the beads. It was challenging, but they turned out really cute when we got done.

She needed my assistance with tying the knots to hold the beads on, and it was also really tricky learning how to tie the slide knot! Once I got the hang of it, I was able to teach her easily, but I will admit that I had a hard time with that part, even following the pictures.
But in the ends, we got it, and she has some really cute bracelets she’s proud of!

I am really looking forward to our next box (and so are my girls!) to see what new materials they’ll be working with and what new skills they will continue to learn.
