We’re 52 weeks into our series of praying for our homeschools – I’m so thankful you are joining me! You can learn more about the series here. We’ll pray about a new area of our homeschool journey each week and dig into God’s Word with daily devotional reflections.
We made it, friend!
This is the final week of praying for our homeschools together—and what a year it has been. Some weeks felt light and easy, and others felt long, heavy, or overwhelming. But through it all, God has been faithful.
When the Lord first nudged me to start sharing these homeschool prayers publicly every week, I wasn’t sure I was up for it. A year is a long time. Life gets busy. Homeschooling has its ups and downs. And more than once, I found myself wondering if I had anything meaningful left to say.
But every single week, He showed up.
He guided my thoughts.
He provided the Scriptures.
He reminded me again and again that this prayer challenge was never about my strength or expertise—but about His faithfulness.
And I hope that through this year, you’ve experienced that faithfulness too.
Maybe this prayer challenge has encouraged you through some difficult seasons.
Maybe it reminded you to pause and turn to the Lord before pressing on with your day.
Maybe it simply helped you feel less alone in your homeschool journey.
Whatever this year looked like for you, I pray that you’ve been drawn closer to the heart of our Heavenly Father—the One who never leaves, never fails, and never stops working in the lives of you and your children.
Approaching God With Confidence
The final verse of this challenge is one of my favorites:
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence,
so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
—Hebrews 4:16
This verse is an anchor.
It reminds us that prayer isn’t a last resort—it’s our lifeline.
It reminds us that we can approach God confidently, not because we’re perfect homeschool moms, but because Jesus made the way.
And it reminds us that God delights in giving us the mercy and grace we desperately need—right when we need it.
This promise doesn’t expire because our prayer challenge is ending.
It holds steady for each moment ahead.
Your Walk With the Lord Doesn’t End Here
Even though this is the last week of this particular journey, your relationship with Jesus goes on.
Keep seeking Him—not only in the hard days, but in the joyful ones too.
Keep opening His Word, letting it guide your decisions and your heart.
Keep praying over your children as you make plans, choose curriculum, and walk through the unexpected moments of homeschool life.
If you’ve loved this structure, don’t forget—you can always revisit these devotions again. All 52 weeks are still available to you on the Prayer Challenge Dashboard or on my blog. You can begin again anytime!
And I would love to hear from you.
How has God worked through this challenge in your homeschool?
What prayers has He answered?
Where are you still asking Him to move?
Leave a comment—I’d genuinely love to pray for you.
A Prayer for this Week
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being present in my homeschool this year.
Thank You for the work You are doing in my heart and in the hearts of my children.
This calling isn’t always easy, and many days I fall short—but each time, You are there to lift me up, guide me, and give me strength.
As I look ahead, help me cling to You in prayer and make Your Word the foundation of our days.
Guide our decisions—curriculum, co-ops, friendships, activities—and give us discernment rooted in Your truth.
Lord, I can’t wait to see what You will do through our homeschool.
Bless my children.
Work in them and through them to further Your kingdom.
Bless our homeschool, and remind me daily what a gift it is to walk this journey with You.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen
