We’re 35 weeks into our series of praying for our homeschools – I’m so thankful you are joining me! You can learn more about the series here. We’ll pray about a new area of our homeschool journey each week and dig into God’s Word with daily devotional reflections.

Anxiety is something most homeschool moms know all too well. Maybe you’ve wondered if you’re doing enough, if you’ve chosen the right curriculum, or if your kids are measuring up compared to what you see other families doing.

The comparison trap is real, and once those anxious thoughts creep in, they can quickly spiral.

But here’s the truth we need to cling to: anxiety is not from God. It’s one of the enemy’s favorite tactics to shake our confidence, distract us from our calling, and rob us of joy in the homeschool journey.

The good news? Those very moments of doubt can also be powerful opportunities to turn back to the Lord and let Him remind us of His goodness and His perfect plan for our families.

Homeschool moms often face anxiety—wondering if they’re doing enough, choosing the right curriculum, or keeping up. In this week’s Homeschool Prayer Challenge, we’re focusing on God’s peace. Discover how to trust His goodness, rest in His love, and lay every burden at His feet.

This week, let’s be intentional about choosing peace over anxiety. Here are four reminders to hold onto.

1. Remember God’s Omniscience and Goodness

God knows every detail of your homeschool journey—the challenges, the joys, the doubts, and the triumphs. He sees you when you’re up late lesson-planning, when your patience wears thin, and when you question if you’re cut out for this calling. And in His omniscience, He’s already given you the grace to face it all.

You don’t need to have every answer or know how every detail will work out, because God already does. Trust in His goodness, knowing He is working everything together for your good and His glory.

2. Let God’s Peace Guard Your Heart

Philippians 4:6–7 reminds us:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

This is one of the most beautiful promises in Scripture. Anxiety doesn’t have to rule over us—prayer can shift our focus from fear to faith. When anxious thoughts come, pause and pray. Present every concern—big or small—to God. His peace will guard your heart and mind in ways you can’t even fully understand.

3. Rest in God’s Perfect Love

Performance doesn’t define God’s love for you. Your success isn’t measured by how smoothly the math lesson went this week, how organized your homeschool room looks, or how advanced your child seems compared to someone else’s.

God’s Word tells us that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). His love is steadfast and unwavering. When anxiety rises, let His love wash over you, reminding you that your identity is rooted in Him—not in your homeschool performance.

4. You Don’t Have to Carry Burdens Alone

Jesus extends an open invitation: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). He never intended for you to carry the weight of homeschooling—or motherhood—by yourself.

Bring your anxieties to Him in prayer. Lay them at His feet. Trust that He will take care of every detail, just as He promised. Jesus gave His life so we could experience freedom, peace, and rest—not constant striving or fear.

Living Out Peace in Your Homeschool

Choosing God’s peace over anxiety doesn’t mean everything will suddenly be easy or perfect. But it does mean you’ll walk in a deeper awareness of His presence. This week, make intentional space for prayer. When those anxious thoughts try to take hold, pause and surrender them to the Lord.

You may even want to build small rhythms of peace into your homeschool—like starting the day with Scripture, practicing gratitude with your kids, or taking a mid-day break to breathe and refocus. These practices remind both you and your children that God’s love and peace are what sustain us, not our performance.

A Prayer for This Week

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this week of learning and precious time spent with my kids in our homeschool. What a joy it is to see your beauty surrounding us in every subject, and to have so many opportunities to disciple my children’s hearts.

Yet still, at times I feel anxious about our homeschool journey. I compare, I question, and struggle with my choices. Help me remember your omniscience and goodness this week, and not succumb to lies from the enemy that aim to tear me down. Guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and surround me with your perfect love that casts out fear.

Lord, you care about every detail of our homeschool journey and I know I don’t have to carry heavy burdens on my own. I desire to come to you first when I feel anxiety rising, and lay it all at your feet. Fill me with your peace this week, and let that peace shine as I homeschool and serve my family.

In Jesus’ name I pray,

Amen
