we love My Father's World around here. This year, we used My Father's World All

Aboard the Animal Train with my four-year-old. He was three. He turned four this year. I love

the curriculum. And so, next year, he will be doing his second year of pre-K. And so

we're going to be using My Father's World Voyage of Discovery. This is not a sponsored video. I

So, we started homeschooling when my oldest son was going into kindergarten and we started with

My Father's World kindergarten curriculum. And my twin daughters were, they're two years younger

than him. So, when he was doing kindergarten, we were doing preschool and I didn't buy a separate

curriculum for them then because they were so close in age. They really just kind of followed

along to what we did. I remember printing off just some little morning time binder activities

and things like that, but they would just sit and listen to the stories. And then, anything that I

wanted to modify that I wanted them to do at their level, they just kind of followed along with us

So, this is going to be my first time using Voyage of Discovery from My Father's World

One thing that I think about preschool, even though this is my first time homeschooling preschool

is that it shouldn't be overwhelming. Okay. My little guy has a lot of energy and there's no way

we're going to spend hours doing school during the day. He wants activities that are fun

short. He likes repetition and just kind of having that pattern every day, which we found in My

Father's World this year. And he really loves it. You know, we need a curriculum that's going to

cater to those needs. Homeschooling preschool shouldn't be overwhelming. If it's overwhelming

you're doing it wrong. So, with My Father's World, I just buy the curriculum package and that's it

I don't have to buy anything else, supplement with anything else. That's totally up to you

if you wanted to do that either for preschool or any of your other grade levels. But the great

thing about this curriculum is that you can buy their complete curriculum pack and that's it. Now

when they get older, they have recommendations for math and language arts that you do have to add in

because they've got the family learning cycle where your entire family is learning the main

portion of the lesson together, the history, geography, science, Bible. You're doing that

stuff together, but then each kid is going to have their own math and language arts curriculum. But

for preschool, it's just by the voyage of discovery pack, that's what we're going to do

So, I love that. You know, now our curriculum that we're doing takes 30 minutes or less. And

on their website, you know, they don't recommend more than an hour. It's not going to take us more

than an hour to get this done every day, which I love. So simplify, simplify your homeschool as

much as possible. So my father's world is a Christian homeschool curriculum, and that

combines Charlotte Mason ideas, classical education, and unit studies. And they've got a

biblical worldview and also a global focus. Okay. They've worked to just make it really easy on

homeschool moms. They have a teacher guide that is very thorough. Everything you need is in there

So you don't have to do a lot extra to prep every day or every week for your homeschooling. So next

year, my older kids are all going to be doing exploring countries and cultures. You can watch

you know, whenever he can join in and follow along with us there, I expect he's going to

and we're going to include him when we can. But I am the type of person who likes to have, you know

a plan, likes to have that structure. So I did purchase Voyage of Discovery to use with him

And I do plan on setting aside a little bit of time each day to work through this curriculum with

him. And then if he wants to join in with us on our exploring countries and cultures, he will

And there'll probably be a lot of things that he, he will do with us. So with the, uh, my father's

world family learning cycle, they've got three different programs, they call it. So the Discover

program is what my littlest one is in right now. And this really gives them the building blocks

that they're going to need for their future years of homeschooling. So if you've got a pre-K

through second grade kiddo, they would begin there. Okay. So that's where we started this

year with all aboard the animal train Voyage of Discovery. And then we will move into the

kindergarten curriculum next year. And which is my father's world from A to Z and then first grade

learning God's story, my older kids. So my oldest son will be in sixth grade and my daughters are

going into fifth grade and they're in the investigate cycle. And so they have four

different, um, curriculums. So they do one every year and they just rotate through. They all do

that core piece together with their own language arts, their own math. Once you get to the beginning

of the cycle again, they just repeat it, but they're older. So they go through it at a greater

depth and they're studying topics at a greater depth at a harder level. So that's how the family

learning cycle works. Oh, and then after the investigate cycle, when they get to high school

I'm in ninth grade, they move on to their declare programs. They do have a program for high schoolers

as well. If you want to take it all the way through those years. So in the Voyage of Discovery

program that we're going to do this year, we are going to just really work on academic readiness

learn, you know, my little one kind of already knows some of the alphabet numbers, but we're

going to learn more alphabet numbers. Um, we're going to be doing a lot of read aloud, um, working

on developing fine and large motor skills and things like that. But most importantly with using

this curriculum, we are going to be learning God's truth together, and I'm going to be teaching him

God's truth and how that applies to the different things that we're learning. I love how My Father's

World integrates their Bible lessons and different character themes into the activities that we do

beginning, you know, it always will just give you tips on how to use it and overview of the curriculum

And then when you get to the actual pages, it gives you preparation. So it'll tell you exactly

and then every week it's all laid out for you. So day one, what are we doing for our Bible verse
