Hey you guys, welcome to my channel, Blessed Homeschool. I'm Sarah and this video is week 21
0:05
of my homeschool prayer series. I'm really glad you're here today for a quick devotion
0:10
and prayer for our homeschools. Have you ever heard of a prayer walk? When someone goes on a
0:22
prayer walk, this literally means they are walking around and praying. As they walk
0:26
they are intentionally looking around, using their senses, noticing things around them that
0:32
might bring to mind someone or something to pray over. So for example, maybe you take a prayer walk
0:38
around your neighborhood with your kids and are led to pray for a specific neighbor or for a person
0:44
that you see as you're walking. Maybe while you're out you hear an ambulance so you begin to pray for
0:50
whoever might be in danger at the moment. I've also heard of people doing prayer walks through
0:55
a new home before moving in and praying over each room or even just praying specifically while in
1:03
different rooms of your house as a way to focus your prayers. I think this can be a really powerful
1:08
exercise to help us pray continually throughout the day. Obviously standing in a certain room
1:14
and praying doesn't make a prayer more powerful and obviously God hears our hearts no matter
1:20
where we are praying. But while we're physically standing in certain rooms of our home
1:25
we can focus on the people who are or will use that room or who we will serve in that room or
1:31
even over some of the things in that room and take the time to pray for them. So this might look like
1:37
praying in your kitchen for peace at mealtime, joy to be shared around the table, and great family
1:43
communication. It might be praying for the Lord to guard your kids eyes and hearts while they're
1:48
working at the computer doing schoolwork or praying while you're in the living room with your kids that
1:54
room might be a place of peace and safety where your family can love spending time together
1:59
Thanking God for the blessing of toys as everybody cleans up the playroom at the end of the day
2:04
And that being said, these are all things you could pray out loud together with your kids. How great
2:10
would it be to do a prayer walk around your home with your kids at the beginning of each day this
2:14
week sharing how to fill your home and your hearts with prayer. Give it a try this week and take a
2:21
prayer walk around your neighborhood or try praying over your homeschool room as you begin
2:26
your day. But first, let me pray for us here. Heavenly Father, thank you so much for the time
2:32
we get to spend together in our homeschool. Thank you for your true word and the promises we can
2:38
cling to as we navigate life together on this earth. We want you to be the center of our homeschool
2:43
of our lives. Help us to learn to love you with all our heart, soul, and strength. Lord, thank you for
2:49
the space we gather in. Please bless it with your presence. Be with us as we learn and guide me
2:54
daily according to your will. Let your perfect love fill our home and surround us as we homeschool
3:00
each day, united in fellowship with each other and with you. May this room be a place of peace
3:07
joy, patience, and forgiveness as we grow and encourage one another. Give me what I need to
3:13
teach my children diligently in our homeschool, to talk about your word when we sit in this room
3:17
when we walk by the way, when we lie down, and when we rise. Above everything else I teach in
3:23
this room, in our home, equip me to raise them to know and love Jesus as their Savior. In Jesus
3:30
precious name I pray, amen. Thank you for joining me this week. Make sure you check out the link in
