The first week that we're fully loaded with all of our curriculum. I just wanted to do a quick video to give you a glimpse at our schedule and see how I have it organized

our year laid out. I have updated just a couple of things and made a few changes to our schedule

but not much. I use homeschool planet for all of our homeschool planning. And if you're looking for

to you. Okay, so basically I'm just going to show you my screen on my computer and talk to

you through our daily routine for our upcoming first week. Here we go. Okay, so I'm logged into my

homeschool planet. We are starting on August 7th. So this right here just kind of gives you an

overview of our week. I have different classes and different items color coded. So if I scroll down

you can just kind of see an overview. These are all the lessons and assignments that we're going to be

doing next week. It looks like a lot. But I'm going to kind of talk you through our brief schedule

which is really more like a routine to show you kind of how we're going to fit it all in

Okay, so let's just start with Monday. It's pretty much the same every day

Every day I have, this is what I added from the last video. I added a Bible time at the top

So what we're going to do is I am envisioning us starting around 830 or so

We're going to gather together and we're going to do the Bible part of our curriculum

So there's, I know there's a section in our My Father's World exploring countries

and cultures and I need to look at voyage of discovery, but we're going to do our Bible time together

So I just created a separate little assignment for that so I can see it there and then check

that off. Okay. And then after that, I have right here, this is my preschooler, my father's

world voyage of discovery. So he's going to be doing this every day except for Thursday because

eventually we're going to start our co-op on Thursday. So I have it set up for each day. Now this is

really more for me to check it off than it is for him. So I will be following the lesson plan from

those books. But during the time that I'm working with my preschooler on his lessons, my bigger kids

are going to have some independent work that they're going to do. So what you'll see here is

daily devotional. So my kids will be doing, we'll work on their morning devotionals. We use

the not consumed devotionals for those. And I will put a link to those in the description. We

absolutely love them and then they also have morning chores that they're going to do I

think on my last video I had put morning chores and afternoon chores together I ended up

splitting them up so they they have a chore to do in the morning and a chore to do in the afternoon so I split them up They will each check off when they have their chore completed And then again this is while I working with my preschooler

They're then going to move on to their CTC math. This is what they work on independently

And all I have in here is for them to complete their assignments because I have their assignments already assigned in CTC math

So they will just log right in there and see exactly what they need to do

Then their Latin work is independent. This is a class that I teach them at our homeschool co-op, which we haven't started yet

So right now they're doing some vocab review. They're doing any makeup work that they haven't finished

And this is going to be independent work that they will do throughout the week. And then after that, they've all got music practice

So my son does piano. One of my daughters does cello and the other one does violin

So they will have music to practice. And then we got their learning language arts through literature

Now this is not independent. However, when they do get to a book study, like my daughters are going to have a book study coming up

they will have some silent reading they can do. So this will be another option for independent work that they can do at this time

And then the other thing that I have, and I'm actually going to move this around, because the other thing that they can do independently is I have typing on here

We use typing.com for typing lessons. They're very short, quick lessons. They can get it done usually in less than 10 minutes a day

So just a little bit of practice each day. They log in and I actually want to move this up because I want them to be able to see it right away for their independent work

So homeschool planet is great. If I want to move this, I'm just going to click on it

Okay, so I'm going to drop it here. And it's going to ask me, do I want to change the order of this class every day or only on Mondays

So it's going to move up underneath their Latin every day, except for Thursdays, which I don't have it on Thursdays because that is going to be our co-op day

So this just makes it easy for Luke, Emma, and Carly. When they are logged in, all of their independent work is going to come up first

So once they get all this done, if they still have time left, if I'm still working with Oliver

then they can do some silent reading from language arts. If they don't get to that, they'll do that at another time during the day

Okay, so I am anticipating the work with my preschooler not taking more than an hour or so

So we'll do that on Mondays and then Fridays I did add Kinderbach

This is a program we've been using from music in our homeschool. So he's getting some very basic music theory and some little piano lessons through that

I will be writing a review on that soon, but we're pretty early in and he is really liking it

So two days a week, we're going to do that. So again, that'll take us about an hour to complete

And then while I'm working with him, my big kids are going to do their independent work

Then we get down to language arts Now I do work independently with my son on his and then I been working with my daughters together So again while I working with one of them the other ones can either be completing their silent reading or anything else that they need to finish So language arts will be after that After we finish language arts it probably going to be about time for lunch as how I thinking that it going to work So we take a break probably about an hour or so for lunch It won take us how long to eat but preparing the meal

and then that gives me a little bit of time to regroup, maybe get some work done during that time

countries and cultures is a lot of geography, not as much. history from what I've heard. We are still working through Heritage Studies 5. We actually started this

This is from BJU Press, and we started this last year, got about halfway through, and so we're still

slowly working through this. So on the days that we have time, I may not get to it every day

but on the days that we have time where this might be a little bit light, we are going to do some of

our Heritage Studies. And if we miss it that day, it's really easy in homeschool planet to adjust

and shift our schedule. So that's what's up next. I'm anticipating anywhere from maybe one and a half to two hours

I haven't dove into this curriculum that we haven't done it. So it's just a guess

One and a half to two hours, maybe to complete both of those things. And then after we're done with that, we'll move into our BJU Press Biblical World View Basics curriculum

which we've really been enjoying. I have it listed every day except Thursday. And again

this is one of those that it's really going to depend on the day. We may get to it every day

Some days we might skip it or move it to the next day. It's really a go at your own pace. Now

the lessons are very short. You can watch my video review on it. They're very short. Usually

less than 10 to 15 minutes. So I anticipate that we will get to it a lot of days, but again, if not

it's really easy to shift the schedule using homeschool planet. And then finally, at the end of the day

this is where I added their afternoon chores. So I use zone cleaning, chore chart. You can read

afternoon chores to complete, and then we're at the end of the list. And then once everything is checked

off. The kids know that they are good to have electronics or whatever else that they want to do

And that's just how I keep track of that. Typically, you know, we'll be done. I'm, my plan is to

hopefully be done before three o every day And we will see how it goes It kind of the first week is always a little bit of trial and error to kind of see how things go But this is what our schedule

looks like. Once we are done with everything for the day, really all I need to do is go in to

homeschool hall and that's where I keep track of our hours for our school, for our homeschool

state requirements. So I will log all of the hours spent on our subjects. And then I also go into

CTCMAP and I double check what they've done for math that day and make sure there's no big

issues that we need to go over or things that they need to repeat, things like that. I'll also

check any Latin work that they need to do. And then usually once a week I'll go in and see how

they're doing on their typing. But that's pretty much it. So I hope this gives you just an idea of, you know

obviously what everybody has to do. But, you know, if you're curious about what, you know, a homeschool

a sheet where they could do a checklist and print this off. So it's very easy to do, very easy to

customize. You're going to come up here to reports and then assignment lists. So you're going to

select which report type you want. I'm going to choose assignment list and then the layout you want

I'm going to go, let's do by date, then class, then student, or let's do this, by student

date and class, and then we're going to customize. So let's just do one student at a time

We'll do all. Well, you could do all of them if you want to, or, you know, in my case, I might just

select the ones where they're working independently, but we'll just leave it as all for

right now. And then no later than let's change this to, since it's Saturday, I need to go to the end

We'll select that. We'll do all categories. We only want to show uncompleted. Now you can also print a report of their completed assignments. So you have an option there. But since I'm going to do a checklist, we'll do uncompleted and then all resources. Okay. So then we'll hit okay and it's going to populate a list. Okay, so Luke for Monday, he has everything listed out for him. Okay, his devotional, his assignments, Latin tells him exactly what he needs

to do for each assignment, okay? And then it's going to go to Tuesday. All right, Wednesday

Thursday, and Friday. And then if I scroll down, I can print this. And then, you know, it doesn't
